Jersey City is one of the most business-friendly municipalities in America, with the leadership and incentive programs that facilitate long-term growth.
In the past few years the Jersey City Urban Enterprise Zone program has received more than $1.7 million to fund relocation grants. The program provides eligible businesses with awards of up to $50,000 to relocate within the boundaries of the Jersey City UEZ from outside of New Jersey.

In the first phase of the Business Relocation Grant Program, $700,000 was awarded to fifteen businesses and a total of 705 jobs were relocated and/or created here in Jersey City.

In January of 2009, the Jersey City UEZ applied for and received an additional $1 million for this highly successful program.
